Healing Dragons Charlotte is a competitive dragon boat team made of breast cancer survivors and supporters. The team was formed initially of breast cancer survivors to participate in the Charlotte Asian Festival and Dragon Boat Race, because everyone loved it so much Healing Dragons was officially founded in 2009. We love being on the water have a passion for the sport of dragon boating and want to do some good in our community.

You may have seen us practicing on Mountain Island Lake in west Charlotte from March/April until November. Healing Dragons supports our members through camaraderie, fitness and teamwork. We support our community with a breast cancer support group and opportunities for recent cancer survivors to enjoy the restorative and exciting sport of dragon boating.
