Healing Dragons of Charlotte is a non-profit organization comprised of cancer survivors, spouses, caregivers and friends.

We practice at Latta Preserve Waterfront, 5201 Sample Road, Huntersville, NC Wednesday evenings from 6:15-7:45 PM and Saturday mornings from 8:45-10:15 AM, typically from April through October.

Depending on the race event, Healing Dragons of Charlotte competitive race team consists of cancer survivors, a ladies team and a mixed team of men and women.

We practice and compete in a dragon boat. A dragon boat is a very long and narrow canoe-style, human-powered boat with 20 paddlers, a steerer and a drummer.

We have new paddlers each season.  Our coaches work to train the new paddlers. As our paddlers gain experience, our coaches challenge us to improve our paddling skills.
