Healing Dragons of Charlotte is a non-profit organization comprised of cancer survivors and supporters.

We practice at Latta Preserve Waterfront, 5201 Sample Road, Huntersville, NC Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, typically from April through October. Please check Meetup for times and locations.

Healing Dragons of Charlotte competes in and around North Carolina. We have competed in:

Depending on the race event, Healing Dragons of Charlotte competitive race team consists of cancer survivors, a ladies team and a mixed team of men and women.

We practice and compete in a dragon boat. A dragon boat is a very long and narrow canoe-style, human-powered boat with 20 paddlers, a steerer and a drummer.

We have new paddlers each season.  Our coaches work to train the new paddlers. As our paddlers gain experience, our coaches challenge us to improve our paddling skills.
